021What a game. This was one for the ages that will be talked about for years to come. San Jose State beat #16 Fresno State on Black Friday 62-52 in a wild, wild game. This was one of the biggest wins in school history. Records were broken. Dreams were dashed and renewed. And for a home game, the majority of those who came to the game went home unhappy. Gameday Preview: San Jose State vs. Fresno State

Later today, the Spartans will renew their rivalry with Fresno State. This game has been much anticipated since both teams’ schedules were released before the start of the season. The game is on Black Friday and is nationally televised on CBS Sports Network. The game also pits two rivals against each other. Adding to the hype is the fact that Fresno State is good. Really good. The Bulldogs are ranked #16 in the BCS and a win ensures them an undefeated season and a possible BCS Bowl game berth. For San Jose State, they must win to have any shot at a bowl. Continue reading

100Last Saturday night Spartan Stadium was filled with fireworks, both off the field and on. With eight seconds left quarterback David Fales rushed into the end zone for the winning touchdown as the Spartans defeated the Wyoming Cowboys and moved above .500 for the first time since the first week of the season. Gameday Preview: San Jose State vs. Wyoming

Well, it’s homecoming for San Jose State and the university is pulling out all the stops in the hopes of packing Spartan Stadium. The first 10,000 fans will either get a beanie or sunglasses. After the game there will be post-game fireworks. Oh yeah, the Spartans are also playing the Wyoming Cowboys amongst all the promotions.

Gameday Preview: San Jose State vs. Utah State

San Jose State University begins play in the Mountain West on Friday night when they face Utah State. This will be the first game as a member of the Mountain West Conference for both San Jose State and Utah State. The Aggies will be another challenge for San Jose State. The Spartans were dominated at home last year by Utah State and saw their hopes of a Top 20 ranking go down with the loss. This year the stakes may be higher. Continue reading
