Well, it’s homecoming for San Jose State and the university is pulling out all the stops in the hopes of packing Spartan Stadium. The first 10,000 fans will either get a beanie or sunglasses. After the game there will be post-game fireworks. Oh yeah, the Spartans are also playing the Wyoming Cowboys amongst all the promotions.
Wyoming is a dangerous team, but beatable. If recent history is any indication, San Jose State should be able to handle Wyoming after defeating a Colorado State team that wiped out Wyoming earlier in the season. However, Wyoming took #25 Nebraska to the limit early on in the season, showing that they will be dangerous. San Jose State should have Jabari Carr back from a shoulder injury, giving David Fales an additional target. If the Spartan running game continues to improve, Wyoming may have trouble stopping any plays San Jose State runs. A win for homecoming would be huge and could become yet another step towards a bowl game. If Spartan Stadium is indeed “packed” on Saturday, it becomes even more critical to win and win impressively, as momentum for the program would rise once again.
