Well this one hurt. The Spartans snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with a four point loss to San Diego State last Saturday. San Jose State seemed in control most of the game, but a key momentum swing did in the men from San Jose.
Austin Lopez had a field goal attempt blocked and returned 56 yards by Aztec defenders. Soon after the Aztecs scored a touchdown. Afterwards, San Jose State was able to respond and extend a slimmed lead back to 30-20. However the Aztecs then scored 14 unanswered points on their way to the road victory. The Spartans were outscored in the fourth quarter 22-7 and the Spartan Stadium crowd was stunned. San Jose State now has a must win against Nevada. Their bowl hopes depend on it.
