Tonight the Spartans travel east on Interstate 80 to face the Nevada Wolf Pack. Nevada is in the midst of a terrible season and this is a game San Jose State should win. More to the point, it’s a game San Jose State must win.
The Spartans bowl hopes rest on the last three games of the season. Game one is tonight in Reno. With a win the Spartans are bowl eligible. A loss though and San Jose State would have to win at least one game to be eligible, and likely have to win out to guarantee a bowl birth. Although this is the last road contest of the year for the Spartans, a guarantee of them winning out at home is unlikely against tough foes Navy and nationally ranked Fresno State. If San Jose State loses tonight, things will be dire. Kickoff is 7:30 PM.
