Tomorrow San Jose State travels to Sin City to take on the UNLV Rebels. This will be an interesting challenge for the Spartans as the Rebels have won 5 of 6 and need only one more victory to become bowl eligible. Last week UNLV picked up a huge win against rival Nevada, which could provide an opening for San Jose State to sneak up on a Rebel team that may be susceptible to a let down game. Continue reading

Player of the Week (Again): David Fales
After throwing for five touchdowns and over 480 yards last Saturday David Fales was once again named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week. In addition to this, Fales was also honored with a nomination for the Capitol One Cup Impact Performance of the Week. The quarterback wasn’t the only high performing offensive player though, as Chandler Jones, Tyler Winston and Billy Freedman were all dubbed honorable mentions for the CFPA Performers of the Week.

Last Saturday night Spartan Stadium was filled with fireworks, both off the field and on. With eight seconds left quarterback David Fales rushed into the end zone for the winning touchdown as the Spartans defeated the Wyoming Cowboys and moved above .500 for the first time since the first week of the season.
