After their last two games, San Jose State is probably relieved to be starting Mountain West play. The Spartans could not take advantage of a stellar David Fales performance and fell to still undefeated Big 10 opponent Minnesota. Gameday Preview: San Jose State vs. Minnesota
In a few hours the Spartans will take on undefeated Big 10 school Minnesota. The Golden Gophers are 3-0 and will be another test for San Jose State. Although not as daunting a task as Stanford, Minnesota does pose issues. Most notable is the Golden Gophers ability to run the football. Stanford sustained most of their drives with the run against San Jose State and Minnesota will attempt to do the same. The defense for the Spartans must contain the run if they hope to win in Minnesota on Saturday.

Injury Update: Noel Grigsby Out
Per the Mercury News, wide receiver Noel Grigsby will not play against Minnesota due to a knee injury. As of the time of this post, he is listed as being out indefinitely, which is not good for the Spartans. Continue reading
